The School Day
Morning
Pupils arrive at school from 8.45am. All pupils should be in school by 9.00am for the start of the morning session. Most pupils travel to and from school by taxi or minibus, although some parents prefer to bring their own children. Transport is organised by the Local Authority; if there are any problems, please contact the school in the first instance.
Breaktime
Morning breaktimes are as follows: 10.00am – 10.15am for Secondary pupils and 10.15am – 10.30am for Primary pupils. This also provides an opportunity for staff to work with pupils on developing personal, social and language skills through a break-time drink /snack.
Lunchtime
Hot meals are available at school. Although we encourage all children to take hot meals, provision is made for children to bring sandwiches.
Between 12noon and 1pm, pupils eat lunch in a social setting and have the opportunity to participate in guided play activities appropriate to their needs.
Any parent who feels that their child may be entitled to receive free school meals, should contact the Free School Meals Office, Finance Department, Priory Road, Dudley (Telephone 01384-814988) and request an application form.
End of the School day
Following participation in whole school or class based act of Collective Worship, the pupils are collected from the school hall at 3pm and taken in transport groups to their respective buses / taxis.
